RENO, Nev. (May 14, 2025) - The ETSU men's golf team's season came to an end on Tuesday at the Montreux Golf & Country Club.
The Buccaneers finished the Reno Regional in ninth at 20-over par and 11 strokes below the cut line. BYU won the regional at 15-under par, while Virginia, Texas, California, and San Diego also advanced to the NCAA National Championship.
Gavin Tiernan was the low individual of the week for ETSU with a 2-under 70 on the final day to finish the regional 1-over par tied for 17th. Kristian Bressum shot the low round of the day for the Bucs with a 3-under 69 to finish 2-over for the regional, tied for 20th.
Freshman Ben Oberholzer shot the first under-par round of his college career with three birdies in his final four holes to finish with a 1-under 71. He finished 2-over par in 36 holes after entering as a substitute at the start of the second round.
Yannick Malik shot an 8-over 80 on the final day to finish at 10-over par, and Ben Carberry shot a 7-over 79 to finish 18-over.
