JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 3, 2025) – The ETSU women's tennis team opened the month of April with a 7-0 shutout victory over UNC Greensboro on Thursday. Thursday's win over the Spartans improves ETSU's record to 10-7 overall and 4-0 in SoCon action.
ETSU clinched the match's opening point thanks to winning two of the three doubles matches.
Ralitsa Alexandrova and
Ksenija Rage got things started with a 6-1 win before
Daniela Rivera and
Alessandra Caceres clinched the point for the Bucs with a 6-2 win.
The Bucs continued that early momentum into singles by winning all six tilts. Five of ETSU's six wins were in two sets. Rivera's 6-3, 6-3 victory clinched the match win for the Bucs. With that win, Rivera improved to 13-1 against SoCon opponents in singles over the past two seasons.
