AWENDAW, S.C. (Mar. 24, 2025) - Yannick Malik turned in a 2-under 70 for ETSU men's golf on Monday to highlight the second round of The Hootie at Bulls Bay. 

Malik's round got off to an ordinary start with a 36 on the back nine, the only blemish a bogey on the par-3 14th, but after the turn onto the front nine, the junior's fortunes shifted with birdies on the second, fourth, fifth, and sixth to push him up the leaderboard. Malik gained 27 positions to finish the second round in 28th place, tied for the third-largest move of the day. 

Gavin Tiernan recovered from a double-bogey on the 13th to post an even-par 72 while a double-bogey on the par-4 fifth left Joshua Pritchett with a 1-over 73. Both golfers are even-par for the tournament. Ben Carberry is 1-over after a second round 74, and Kristian Bressum is 5-over par with a 74 on his second day. Freshman Ben Oberholzer shot a 5-over 77, leaving him 5-over for the tournament competing as an individual. 

The Bucs as a team shot a 1-over 289 on Sunday, leaving them in 12th with an even-par score across the first two days. 

The Bucs' starting five will tee off on the 10th hole beginning at 8:45 am, while Oberholzer tees off on the first hole at the same time.
