Men’s Tennis looks to extend winning streak at Wofford on Thursday

ETSU brings a five-match winning streak into Thursday’s clash with the Terriers

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (March 12, 2025) – Riding a five-match winning streak, the ETSU men's tennis team will look to keep things rolling on Thursday when it visits longtime rival Wofford. First serve between the Buccaneers and Terriers is set for 2:30 p.m. Live stats for Thursday's matchup can be found HERE.

After beginning the spring slate with a 1-4 record, the Bucs have rattled off five straight wins to move their ledger to 6-4. In their last match, the Bucs shut out UNC Greensboro by a 7-0 final score. It was ETSU's first 7-0 shutout since they blanked UNCG on March 12, 2023. Furthermore, it was the 16th consecutive win against a SoCon opponent for ETSU dating back to March 2023.

Wofford enters Thursday's match with the Bucs with a 4-6 record this spring with all four victories coming in Spartanburg. The Terriers' last win came on February 18 vs. North Greenville but have lost three straight matches against College of Charleston, South Carolina State and Samford.

Historically, the Bucs have held the edge against the Terriers winning all 16 tilts between these two programs since 2001. Seven of the 16 wins have been shutouts and ETSU has posted an undefeated 7-0 record in Spartanburg during the same time frame.
