JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Jan. 27, 2025) – For the second time this season and third of his career, ETSU's Jaden Seymour has scored Southern Conference Player of the Week honors, as the league office announced its weekly award on Monday for games played from Jan. 20-26.
 
Seymour, who has received two of the four weekly awards this month, averaged 28.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 blocks in two games last week. The Buccaneer forward also totaled 16 made field goals, seven threes and went 17-of-21 (81%) at the free throw line in the conference games against Western Carolina and Chattanooga.
 
Seymour started the week in grand fashion as he set a new Freedom Hall scoring record with a 34-point performance in the 85-58 win over Western Carolina on Wednesday. To go along with the scoring, Seymour grabbed a season-high 13 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the year. Seymour, who also added three assists and two blocks, became the third Buccaneer to score at least 30 points this season, marking the first time ETSU has accomplished this feat since the 2013-14 season. The Charlotte, N.C. native is one of 31 Division I players this season to have a 30-point, 10-rebound game.
 
On Saturday, Seymour followed that up with a 22-point, 7-rebound effort against Chattanooga in front of 5,015 fans inside Freedom Hall. Seymour totaled his fifth 20-point scoring game of the season, while he now ranks 16th all-time in program history with 1,284 points.
 
The Bucs return to action Wednesday when ETSU heads to North Carolina to take on UNCG. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. inside Fleming Gym.
