SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Jan. 24, 2025) – With the spring semester underway this week at ETSU, the Southern Conference announced its Fall All-Academic Team on Thursday. ETSU placed 45 student-athletes on the academic all-conference team.
Overall, 427 student-athletes were honored by the league representing men's and women's cross country, football, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball. Furthermore, each institution had at least 35 student-athletes receive this accolade. To be eligible for the academic all-conference team, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average after the fall semester and be required to compete in at least one-half of their teams' competitions during the recently concluded campaign. In addition, the student-athletes must have successfully completed at least three semesters at their institutions, making true freshmen and first-year transfers ineligible for inclusion.
Fifty student-athletes finished the fall semester with a perfect 4.0 GPA, including four Buccaneers. The four Bucs were
Nate Brackett (football),
Nico Kross (men's soccer),
Gabriel Ramos (men's soccer), and
Jenna Forster (volleyball). Women's soccer had the most honorees with 14, while football (nine), volleyball (seven), and women's cross country (seven) were not far behind.
The 427 total selections are the second highest and the 50 perfect GPAs are the most selections in SoCon history for the fall.
