LOUDON, Tenn. (Sept. 8, 2024) – Making his Buccaneer debut, ETSU transfer Kristian Bressum posted a top-20 finish at the Visit Knoxville Intercollegiate, as tournament play wrapped up on Sunday from Tennessee National Golf Club.
 
Bressum, who totaled three straight rounds of par or better, finished tied for 18th at 1-under-par 209 over the three-day, 54-hole tournament. The St. Mary's transfer capped off his final round on a positive note as he birdied three of his final four holes to card an even-par 70 on Sunday.
 
Overall, Bressum was one of 20 golfers in the 92-player field to finish the tournament with a 54-hole score below par.
 
LSU's Algot Kleen grabbed the 36-hole lead on Saturday and ran away with the title on Sunday as he fired a 3-under 67 in the final round en route to winning the tournament by four shots at 12-under-par 198. Cameron Tankersley of Ole Miss finished runner-up at 8-under-par 202.
 
LSU made it a clean sweep as they rallied past No. 13 Ole Miss to win by two shots at 23-under-par 817. The Rebels opened the day with a one-stroke advantage over LSU, but the Tigers posted an even-par 280 in the final round, while Ole Miss totaled a 3-over-par 283.
 
The Blue & Gold finished 13th with a score of 36-over-par 876 in the fall opener.

ETSU returns to the course in two weeks when the Bucs travel to Lone Star State for the Valero Texas Collegiate, which begins Saturday, Sept. 21.
