CHICAGO (Sept. 29, 2024) – ETSU's
Kristian Bressum sits in the top 10 following day one of the Windon Memorial Classic, which got underway Sunday from Conway Farms Golf Club.
With the second round called due to darkness, Bressum was sitting tied for ninth at 2-under-par. Following an even-par 71 in the opener, Bressum birdied three of his first 13 holes; however, he gave one back on the par-4, No. 9 to move to two-under through 15 holes in round two.
Bressum is seven shots off the lead as Marquette's Patrick Alder is 9-under-par. Alder carded a 6-under 65 in the opener and is 3-under through his first 14 holes in round two.
Arizona and Northwestern are the only two teams below par. The 13th-ranked Wildcats are at 6-under (thru holes 13-15 in round two) and host Northwestern is one shot back at 5-under.
As a team, the Bucs are in 13th at 26-over-par thru holes 14-16 in round two. ETSU shot 17-over-par in round one.
The final day of the tournament gets underway Monday at 9:30 a.m. ET with a shotgun start.
