SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Sept. 22, 2024) – ETSU's
Kristian Bressum led the ETSU men's golf team in Sunday's second round of the Valero Texas Collegiate from TPC San Antonio Oaks Course.
Bressum, who carded a 1-under 71, moved 15 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 42nd at 1-over-par 145. The St. Mary's transfer registered four birdies, 11 pars and three bogeys in Sunday's second round.
Auburn's Josiah Gilbert moved atop the leaderboard at 11-under-par 133. Gilbert finished with a 5-under 67 in round two and carries a three-shot lead into Monday's final round. Three golfers are tied for second at 8-under-par 136, including day one leader Jase Summy of Oklahoma.
In team scoring, Ole Miss jumped Oklahoma for the lead at 23-under-par 553. The 12th-ranked Rebels shot an 8-under 280 on Sunday, while the eighth-ranked Sooners totaled a 2-under 286 and sits 22-under-par 554 for the tournament.
The Bucs posted a 9-over 297 in round two and are in 13th place at 12-over-par 588.
Monday's third and final round gets underway at 9:10 a.m., with ETSU being paired with Clemson and North Florida.
