DAVIDSON, N.C. (Sept. 14, 2024) – The ETSU women's triathlon team will return to action this Sunday with the Lake Davidson Sprint Triathlon. The Bucs and the rest of the collegiate field will get underway at 7:50 a.m.
The Bucs are coming off a team victory in the ETSU Aquathlon late last month. ETSU, which hosted this event for a third straight year, edged out two-time defending Division II national champion Lenoir-Rhyne for the team title. ETSU totaled 147 points, while Lenoir-Rhyne finished with 146 and King placed third ahead of Northern Kentucky with 64. Hampton was the fifth team to participate in the season opener and ended with 45 points.
Looking ahead to Sunday's triathlon in Davidson, ETSU will be joined for the competition by Queens (N.C.), Lenoir-Rhyne and Wingate. This is a USAT sanctioned event in Davidson, NC. It features a 750-meter swim, 12.7-mile bike ride, and a 5K run.
