BOONE, N.C. (Aug. 29, 2024) – The ETSU football team will kick off its 90^th season this Saturday when it visits former SoCon rival Appalachian State.    

No. 1 – Kickoff - Saturday's game will kickoff at 3:32 p.m. ET at Kidd Brewer Stadium.  

No. 2 – Broadcast Information - The Buccaneer Sports Network (BSN) will provide ETSU fans with complete pregame, in-game and postgame coverage on the Bucs' flagship station WXSM-AM 640 and those with HD radio can listen on 101.5 WQUT HD-2. Click here for live audio.  

BSN begins its pregame programing one hour and 30 minutes prior to kickoff with the 30-minute Tennessee Lottery Tailgate Show, followed by the Pregame Show presented by Lafayette Heat & Air, which will lead up to 30 minutes prior to kickoff. The Appalachian Orthopedic Countdown to Kickoff will then lead into the final moments before kickoff.      

The broadcast team of "Voice of the Bucs" Jay Sandos, analyst Matt Wiljelm, sideline reporter Robert Harper and Don Helman on stats will provide ETSU fans all the information they need to complement their game-day activities.  

At halftime, the crew will have the Hometown Plumbing Halftime Show, while fans can tune into the Mullican Flooring Post Game Show for a full wrap up, with game statistics, players and coach interviews and other post-game information.   

Saturday's game will also be broadcast on ESPN+ with the team of David Jackson (play-by-play) and Avery Hall (analyst) on the call.  

No. 3 – Gameday Information - Directions to Kidd Brewer Stadium, parking information and tailgating policies can be found HERE.  

No. 4 – Watch Party at Johnny Brusco's Pizza – Saturday's game between the Mountaineers and Bucs is sold out. However, if you don't have a ticket, Johnny Brusco's Pizza has you covered as all Tri-Cities locations will have the game on their TVs. Come and enjoy ETSU football being back with fellow Buc fans!

No. 5 – Pregame Tailgate in Boone - Get ready for game day, Buccaneer Nation! Join fellow Buccaneers on August 31st for a pregame tailgate before ETSU's season opener against the Mountaineers. Drop in for light snacks and a chance to load up on Blue and Gold before the game. You will also have the chance to pick up a limited-edition game day button.

No. 6 – Series History - Saturday will mark the 47^th all-time meeting between the Bucs and Mountaineers. It'll also mark the second time in the past five years that ETSU has opened a season in Boone (2019). ETSU will be looking for its first win over App State since 1997, 51-28.
