JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Aug. 1, 2024) – The ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Thursday several staff changes.
Mike Desrochers has been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director of Revenue Generation, while alums Erin Billingsby and Ty DeBusk have been added to the ETSU Athletic staff. Billingsby, a former Buccaneer women's soccer standout (2005-2008) is the new Director of Development for Athletics and DeBusk is ETSU's new Assistant Director of Athletic Ticketing.
"We are excited to announce these new staff changes," said ETSU Athletic Director Dr. Richard Sander. "Erin and Ty are committed to their alma mater and make the perfect fit for their positions. Mike has done exceptional work over the last several years inside our ticket office. He is dedicated to adding to the success and growth of our department."
Desrochers, who has been part of ETSU's Athletic Department since 2021, served as the Director of Athletics Ticketing from 2021-22 before being elevated to Assistant AD for Ticketing and Revenue Development in October 2022. In his new role, Desrochers will oversee ticketing, marketing, promotions, fan experience and development.
Billingsby, formerly Bilyeu, was the Buccaneer goalkeeper from 2005-08. Billingsby, who graduated from ETSU in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in Marketing, will be leading all fundraising efforts for the Athletics Department. Billingsby will be a liaison between the ETSU Athletics Department and the ETSU Foundation.
DeBusk received his bachelor's degree from ETSU in 2023 in Sport and Recreation Management and is currently working on his master's in Educational Leadership. DeBusk served as an intern in the Buccaneer Athletic Department for the past three years, including being the emcee at Buccaneer basketball games the past two seasons. As the Assistant Director for Athletics Ticketing, Ty will be in charge of the day-to-day operations of the ticket office, including season ticket sales and individual/group sales.
