SPARTANBURG, S.C. (April 16, 2024) – The Southern Conference announced on Tuesday that ETSU men's tennis player Dimitri Badra was named the SoCon Player of the Week. It is the fourth time this season Badra has collected this award this season and the 15^th SoCon Player of the Week in his accomplished career as a Buc.  
 
Badra improved to 7-0 in SoCon singles matches with a 6-3, 6-4 win over The Citadel's Hayden Shoemake last Wednesday. The victory clinched the match for the Bucs and made ETSU the SoCon Regular Season Champions with a 7-0 record. As for Badra, he has now won 10 consecutive singles matches against SoCon foes dating back to last season. 
 
Badra and the rest of the Bucs will be back in action on Thursday as they open play at the SoCon Men's Tennis Tournament against eighth-seeded UNC Greensboro. First serve between the Bucs and Spartans is set for 1 p.m. at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
