JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (March 5, 2024) – The ETSU women's golf team concluded competition at the Momentum Transportation Invitational hosted by the University of North Florida. The tournament was scheduled to follow a 36-18 format; however, a suspension due to darkness during round two forced the Bucs to play the rest of round two and round three Tuesday morning.
Sam Houston surged three spots in the final two and a half rounds to take the team title. The Bearkats finished 16-under-par with 848 total strokes. UTSA (11-under par 853) and UNF (5-under 859) rounded out the top three spots.
Emma Bunch of New Mexico State and Christin Eisenbeiss shared the individual title, both finishing 12-under-par with 204 shots.
Brianna Castaldi led the Bucs through three rounds of competition with her best performance coming in the final round. Castaldi shot 4-under-par 68 in the final round en route to climbing 29 spots to finish tied for 59th.
As a team, ETSU placed 18th (+28) with the Bucs carding a 2-under 286 in the final round.
The Bucs continue their spring slate March 15
th when they head to Spartanburg S.C. for the Low Country Intercollegiate hosted by Wofford.
