BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (March 29, 2024) – The ETSU men's tennis team will face its toughest test of league play to date on Saturday when it visits Samford. First serve between the Buccaneers and Bulldogs is set for 1 p.m. eastern time. There will be live video of the match available HERE.
 
ETSU is coming off back-to-back wins over Wofford (5-2) and Mercer (6-1). With those victories, the Bucs are now 6-9 overall and 3-0 in SoCon play. Entering Saturday's match with the Bulldogs, senior Dimitri Badra is riding a five-match winning streak in singles action and is 8-4 overall.
 
Samford, meanwhile, is not only undefeated in SoCon play like ETSU (4-0) but it also boasts the highest winning percentage of any SoCon team this spring as its overall record checks in at 12-4 (.750 winning percentage). The Bulldogs already have their most wins in a season since 2021 and boasts a perfect 6-0 record at home this spring.
 
Since 2015, the Buccaneers have not lost a match to Samford. ETSU is 12-0 against the Bulldogs during that span, including a 4-0 record in Birmingham.
