HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (March 16, 2024) – The ETSU women's golf team continues to lead the field at the Low Country Intercollegiate following Saturday's second round play at Moss Creek Golf Club in Hilton Head Island, S.C.

ETSU and Richmond kept battling atop the leaderboard, but when second round play came to end, the Buccaneers held their lead. The Blue & Gold shot a 15-over 303 in round two and will take a one-shot lead into Sunday's finale. For the tournament, ETSU is at 26-over-par 602, while Richmond is at 27-over-par 603. Western Carolina (+36), Appalachian State (+45) and USC Upstate (+48) round out the top five teams.

The Bucs still pace the 16-team field in birdies with 25, while ETSU is now the tournament leader in par-4 scoring (4.23).

ETSU has three Bucs in the top-10 as
Brianna Castaldi and
Sophie Bert are tied for second at 4-over-par 148, while
Grace Chin is tied for ninth at 8-over-par 152. Castaldi, the Bucs' top scorer on Saturday, fired her second straight round of 74.

Alex Crafton had ETSU's second-lowest round on Saturday as she carded a 3-over 75 to move 16 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 27th at 12-over-par 156.

Individually,
Madeline Simcox is also tied for 27th.

Sunday's final round gets underway with a shotgun start beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Bucs will be paired with Richmond and Western Carolina.
