BOCA RATON, Fla. (March 13, 2024) – The ETSU men's tennis team will be back in action on Thursday when it travels to take on No. 46 FAU. First serve between the Buccaneers and Owls is set for 5 p.m.
ETSU, which is 4-8 on the season, is coming off a 5-2 loss on the road at No. 69 Stetson on Tuesday. A highlight from that match was
Dimitri Badra picking up a victory from the No. 1 singles position. For that win, Badra was named the SoCon Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the 14
th time in his career.
FAU enters Thursday's match with the Bucs sporting an 11-4 record. The Owls were shut out, 4-0, in their last match against UC Santa Barbara. The doubles tandem of Alberto Colas and Juan Martin Jalif are ranked No. 71 in the ITA National Poll that came out earlier this week.
Thursday's match will be the fourth ever meeting between the Bucs and Owls with the last coming in 2020. ETSU is 2-1 against FAU but the Owls won the tilt between these two programs in 2020, 4-3.
