ETSU Football ranks highly in attendance

Nearly 60,000 fans attended ETSU’s six home games in 2024

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Dec. 6, 2024) – In a season where the ETSU football team won more games than it did in 2022 and 2023 combined, Buccaneer fans came out in large numbers to support the Blue and Gold. Overall, 59,287 fans attended ETSU's six home games this fall with an average of 9,881 fans per game.

Following the regular season, the Buccaneers ranked third in the FCS in percent capacity (128.4%). Bank of Tennessee Field at William B. Greene, Jr. Stadium's capacity is 7,694 fans, which the Bucs surpassed every home game, including a stadium-record crowd of 12,109 vs. Western Carolina on November 9. ETSU also drew over 10,000 fans in games against No. 2 North Dakota State (11,040) and Chattanooga (10,534).

ETSU also shined in comparison to other FCS programs in Tennessee. The Bucs led all FCS programs in the Volunteer State in attendance outdrawing Austin Peay, Chattanooga, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech and UT Martin.

Of the 129 FCS programs, ETSU ranked 26th nationally in average attendance per game. Only The Citadel (10,225) outdrew the Bucs among teams in the SoCon.
