ALPHARETTA, Ga. (Oct. 19, 2024) – Highlighted by

Ben Carberry, the ETSU men's golf team put together a strong showing in Saturday's second round of the Golf Club of Georgia College.
Pritchett and Carberry combined to shoot six-under, while the Blue & Gold fired a 4-under-par 284 en route to moving four spots up the team leaderboard at 5-over-par 581. ETSU sits in 10th among a field that features eight teams ranked in the top 25 and eight teams that played in the 2024 NCAA Championship, including the Blue & Gold.
Pritchett paced the Bucs on Saturday by carding a 4-under 68 and moved 29 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 26th at even-par 144. Pritchett played the front nine at three-under, while finishing the day with an eagle on the par-5, 564-yard No. 18 to post the 68. Meanwhile, Carberry moved into a tie for 13th at 1-under-par 143. Carberry posted a 2-under 70 in round two thanks to recording three birdies, 14 pars and one bogey.
Charlotte's Caden Baker continues to hold the individual at 11-under-par 133. Baker takes a three-shot lead into Sunday's final round as Duke's Ethan Evans is at 8-under-par 136.
UCLA jumped Virginia for the team lead at 16-under-par 560. The Bruins fired an 8-under 280 for the second straight day and holds a one-stroke advantage over No. 4 Virginia. No. 23 Duke (-11), Charlotte (-8) and Southern Cal (-3) round out the top five teams.
ETSU goes out at 8:50 a.m. from No. 10 in Sunday's final round. The Bucs are grouped with Alabama and host Georgia Tech.
