WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Oct. 14, 2024) – The ETSU men's tennis team recently wrapped up play at the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals hosted by Purdue. Overall, the Buccaneers collected 10 wins across singles and doubles play over the multi-day event.
 
ETSU played well in doubles during its stay in West Lafayette posting a 4-2 record. The tandem of Francisco Lamas and Martin Garcia-Ripoll won their first three matches to advance to the quarterfinal round. Unfortunately, Indiana's duo of Facundo Yunis and Jip Van Assendelft brought that run to an end with an 8-5 win.
 
In singles, Peter Kalocsai collected three wins, which was the most by a Buc. Kalocsai tallied a pair of victories in the qualifying draw and added another in the main draw by a 6-2, 6-4 final score. Pedro Cressoni also picked up a win in the first round of the main singles draw but both he and Kalocsai would bow out in the second round.
