Bucs drop season opener at No. 15 Wake Forest

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Jan. 15, 2024) – The ETSU men's tennis team fell in its season opener to No. 15 Wake Forest by a score of 6-1 on Monday.
 
The 15th-ranked Demon Deacons won all three doubles matches and five of the six singles matches. ETSU's point came from Francisco Lamas. Lamas notched a win over Jamieson Nathan in three sets, 6-2, 6-7 (3-7), 1-0 (13-11).

ETSU will have a short turnaround as it will head to Nashville on Wednesday to take on Vanderbilt. First serve for that tilt is set for 1 p.m.
