KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 17, 2023) – The ETSU women's golf team wrapped up its fall season by concluding play at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship. The three-day tournament, hosted by the University of Tennessee at the Cherokee Country Club, came to an end Tuesday afternoon.
In the final round of competition, the Bucs shot 15 over-par 299 on the day, finishing 53-over-par 905 for the tournament.
No.27 UCF led the pack from start-to-finish.
The Knights posted an 11-under-par 273 score for the round, shooting five strokes ahead of No. 9 Ole Miss. The Knights captured the tournament title with a final score of 17-under-par 835. Ole Miss finished as runner-up – 12 strokes behind – at 5-under-par 847.
On the individual side, Molly Smith (UCF) maintained her place at the top of the leaderboard. Smith posted eight birdies on the round, including five-in-a-row on the back nine. Smith finished the round with a score of 6-under-par 65, for a tournament score of 12-under-par 201.
The Bucs were led
Brianna Castaldi as she concluded the tournament in a four-way tie for 38th. In the final round of competition, Castaldi shot 2-over par 73, matching yesterday's performance, and finishing with a final score of 7-over-par 220.
Sophie Bert climbed four places on the leaderboard to finish tied for 46th, shooting 1-over-par-72 on the round and 9-over-par 222 for the tournament.

The Buccaneers will have a break in competition until March 4 when they head to Lake Oconee Georgia for the Reynolds Lake Oconee Tournament hosted by Mercer.
