Dianna Lewis joined East Tennessee State University Athletics in August 2025 and serves as the Associate Director for Athletic Communications.
In her role, she is the primary contact for volleyball, women’s basketball, softball and both golf programs. Lewis oversees all media relations, statistics, game notes and social media for those Buccaneer teams, and assists with game day operations.
Prior to ETSU, she served as an Athletic Communications Coordinator at Virginia Tech. In that role, she served as the media contact for VT volleyball, cross country, and track and field programs. She was responsible for press releases, game notes, roster maintenance and answering media requests related to the three programs in addition to helping the program' social media channels grow.
Lewis also spent time as a graduate assistant at Xavier where she served as the primary media contact for volleyball in their 50th season and women's lacrosse in their inaugural season. Â While at Xavier, the St. Petersburg native completed a master's degree, guided the women's lacrosse program through the flagship years, and developed creative content and strategy for both programs. Â Additional fun projects taken underhand were a downsizing, categorizing, and cleaning of the physical archives and a Taraflex volleyball court design process. Â Before Xavier, Lewis served as an Athletic Communications Assistant for Ball State Athletics, where she assisted with sport responsibilities for all 18 programs.
Lewis is a native of St. Petersburg, Florida and enjoys spending time outdoors and with her dog, Tonka. She is a 2024 graduate of Xavier with a Master's degree in Sport Management and a 2022 graduate of Ball State with a Bachelor's degree in Sport Administration.
