At the height of their greatest season since 1969, if not ever, the eighth-seeded Bucs hosted a Kennesaw State team that had built a reputation as a tough out in the playoffs, having knocked off a seeded team in 2017 and the SoCon champions in 2019. What followed was one of the greatest nights in ETSU football history, and the peak of the Randy Sanders era.
