LYNCHBURG, Va. (Feb. 13, 2025) – Making its final tune up before the Southern Conference Indoor Championships, the ETSU women's track and field team heads to Virginia for the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational, which will be held Friday and Saturday at the Brant Tolsma Indoor Track at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex.

Location: Brant Tolsma Indoor Track at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex (Lynchburg, Va.)
Time: The women's 60m gets things started on the track Friday at 1:40 p.m., while women's long jump begins the field events both starting at 2 p.m. … On Saturday, women's high jump begins at 8:30 a.m. and women's 200m starts at 9:45 a.m.

MEET NOTES
·      ETSU will be bringing 15 athletes to Virginia this weekend
·      Over the weekend, the Blue & Gold will compete in 16 different events
·      Micailah Cook, the reigning SoCon Track Athlete of the Week, will be in action this weekend as she's scheduled to compete in the 200m and 400m
·      Cook enters the weekend with the fourth-fastest time in the 200m (24.94) among SoCon competitors, while ranking eighth in the 400m (57.87)
·      Akera Molette, who ranks second in the high jump (1.65m) in the SoCon, will compete in both the high jump and triple jump this weekend
·      Freshman Lexi Carter still ranks second in the shot put (13.22m) and Tyla Nicholson is fifth in the weight throw (14.26m)

ETSU heads back to Lexington, Va. for the 2025 SoCon Indoor Championships, which will be held Feb. 28-March 1 at VMI.
