Bucs open SoCon play with a 6-1 win over UNCG

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 26, 2024) – The ETSU men's tennis team opened Southern Conference play with a 6-1 win over UNC Greensboro on Monday afternoon. With Monday's victory, the Buccaneers move to 4-6 on the 2024 season.
 
ETSU started well on Monday winning all three doubles matches. The duo of Milledge Cossu and Francisco Lamas clinched the doubles point for the Bucs with a 6-3 win. The Bucs maintained momentum into the singles portion of the contest winning five of the six matchups. Four of the six singles bouts went to three sets on the day. Pedro Cressoni clinched the match for the Bucs with a 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 win. With Monday's win, the Bucs improve to 13-1 all-time against UNCG.

ETSU will be back in action on Thursday when it hosts Elon in a non-conference match. First serve between the Bucs and Phoenix is set for 2 p.m.
