JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (June 27, 2024) – The Southern Conference announced its 2024 Spring Academic All-Conference Team on Thursday, and ETSU had 59 student-athletes placed on the list.

The sports of men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track and field, rifle, wrestling, men's and women's golf, men's and women's outdoor track and field, men's and women's tennis, baseball and softball are represented on the Spring Academic All-SoCon team.

To be eligible for the academic all-conference team, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average at the conclusion of the spring semester and were required to compete in at least one-half of their teams' competitions during the recently concluded campaign. In addition, the student-athletes must have successfully completed at least three semesters at their institutions, making true freshmen and first-year transfers ineligible for inclusion.

Women's Track & Field led the charge with 12 selections with Men's Track & Field not far behind with 10 honorees. Baseball was up next with eight student-athletes earning this distinction followed by softball (seven), men's golf (seven), and women's basketball (six). Rounding out the list for ETSU were women's tennis, men's tennis and women's golf with three honorees a piece.

ETSU had a pair of student-athletes complete the spring semester with a 4.0 GPA in
Hannah Burkhart (women's track & field) and
Amber Thornton (women's golf).
