NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 19, 2012) – The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame held its annual induction banquet on Saturday night at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel, with ETSU track and field head coach Dave Walker being enshrined as one of 10 members of the 2012 class.

Walker, who just recently earned his 28th Coach of the Year selection after the ETSU men's track and field team won the 2012 Atlantic Sun Outdoor Championship in April, was honored along with the late east Tennessee great Jeff Byrd and the late Gene Bartow. Other members of this year's class included Rick Insell, James Marsalis, Bill Dance, Tim Jackson, Gibby Gilbert, Zan Guerry and Brig. General Austin Conner Shofner.

Coach Walker will end his illustrious 50-plus-year career at ETSU in June.
