Track and field to compete at Tennessee Challenge

ETSU makes final preparations for A-Sun Outdoor Championships

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (April 6, 2012) –  The ETSU men’s and women’s track and field teams head to Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium on Saturday for their final meet before the Atlantic Sun Outdoor Championships, as they are set to compete at the Tennessee Challenge.

Hosted by the University of Tennessee, the one-day meet will feature teams from Akron, Carson-Newman, ETSU, Louisville and Tennessee.

Competition gets underway at 9 a.m., with the men’s hammer throw, while track events start at 12:30 p.m., with the women’s 3000m steeplechase. The meet is scheduled to end at 4:15 p.m., with the men’s 4x400m relay.
