MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (March 19, 2010) - Senior Kenneth Rotich (Nairobi, Kenya) highlighted the ETSU track and field team on day two of the 2010 Coastal Carolina Shamrock Invitational on Friday night at Doug Shaw Stadium.


Competing in the largest track meet on the east coast, Rotich finished third in the 5000m, recording a time of 14:41.67. Meanwhile, Rotich's cousin Ben Ronoh (Sotik, Kenya), placed seventh in the 40-man field after clocking in at 15:17.16.


The decathlon completed on Friday as well with Les Gilbert (Franklin, Calif.) and Matt Hill finishing seventh and eighth in the two-day event.


The majority of events will be contested on Saturday afternoon with men's discus starting the day at 10 a.m.
