Bucs sweep first day of USC Upstate Fall Classic

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Sept. 20, 2013) – The ETSU women’s tennis team did not drop a set during the first day of the USC Upstate Fall Classic, sending both doubles teams to the finals of the A flight and all four singles players to the quarterfinals of their respective flights.

ETSU will be in action Saturday, Sept. 21 for the second day of the tournament.

 

SINGLES

A flight:

Choo (ETSU) def. Stancui (Gardner-Webb), 7-5, 6-2

Gerbasi (ETSU) def. Ferrari (Presbyterian), 6-0, 6-4

B flight:

Dahbi (ETSU) def. Conze (Presbyterian), 6-1, 6-1

Brumit (ETSU) def. White (Gardner-Webb), 6-1, 6-1


DOUBLES

A flight:

Choo/Gerbasi (ETSU) def. Martin/Carlson (Wofford), 8-2

Dahbi/Brumit (ETSU) def. Evans/Paulson (Wofford), 9-8 (4)

Choo/Gerbasi (ETSU) def. Doost/Hutterli (Gardner-Webb), 9-7

Dahbi/Brumit (ETSU) def. von Stryk/Rojas (USC Upstate), 8-3
