Women's tennis opens 2010 fall campaign this weekend

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn.
(Sept. 16, 2010) - The ETSU women's tennis team will open its 2010 fall campaign this weekend as they will host the ETSU Fall Invitational at the Buddy Hartsell Tennis Center.

The Bucs are coming off
a perfect 10-0 regular season Atlantic Sun mark and they won their fourth-ever A-Sun Regular Season Championship. The team returns six key members from last year's squad including, first-team all-conference member Paula Jaime (Madrid, Spain) and second-team all-conference members Andra Voinea (Brasov, Romania) and Diana Navrosksta (Kviv, Ukraine).
 
As the Bucs host the ETSU Invitational, several members of the team will travel to Spartanburg, S.C. for the USC Upstate Fall Invitational. Jaime, Voinea, Karina Kedzo ((Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela), and Kelly Holtzhausen (Johannesburg, South Africa) will be those participating in the event at USC Upstate.

Navrosksta, Tara Sheets (Gate City, Va.), Jessica Ratliff (Bristol, Tenn.) and freshman Giulia Andreazza will stay at home and participate in the ETSU Invitational. The tournament in Johnson City will get underway at 10 a.m. with singles action.

Following this weekend's action, the Lady Bucs will travel to Las Vegas, Nevada for the UNLV Fall Invitational on Saturday, September 24.
