PACFIC PALISADES, Calif. (Oct. 1, 2009) - After becoming the first ETSU women's tennis player in history to compete in the esteemed Riviera ITA All-American Championships a season ago, senior Yevgeniya Stupak (Kyiv, Ukraine) returns to the exceptional national tournament for pre-qualifying tournament action, Saturday.

The six-day event, held at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacfic Palisades, Cailf., features the top-64 singles players from around the nation. Selections for the field were based on 56-at large bids, eight players from the ITA pre-qualifying touranment, which takes place this weekend, and automatic entries from the ITA Regional and Summer Championships.

Stupak - the No. 98-ranked ITA singles player - has had an outstanding season this fall. The defending Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Year, won both the singles and doubles titles at the Cissie Leary Invitational last weekend. Overall, the Lady Buc captain has dropped only one set en route to an 8-1 record.
