JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (September 29, 2008) - After receiving the highest ITA preseason ranking in school history, junior Yevgeniya Stupak (Kyiv, Ukraine), now heads west to the great state of California for the esteemed ITA Women's All-American Championships.

The six day event will be held at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., and features 64 of the top singles players from around the nation. Selections were based on 56 at-large bids, eight players from the ITA pre-qualifying tournament and automatic entries from the ITA Regional and Summer National Champions.

The No. 63rd ranked Stupak qualified for the singles draw after receiving an at-large bid after the National Tournament Committee announced its selections on August 29th.

In the first round, Stupak will face 57th seeded Kristi Boxx of the University of Mississippi. The winner of their 10:30 a.m., match Tuesday, will face the winner of Georgia Tech's Christy Striplin and Taylor Ormond of Baylor.
