In doubles action, Stupak and Batsula fell in a hard-fought, 9-8(5) battle for the Flight A title to Inga Beermann and Jessica Brouwer of Virginia Tech to finish in second place, while Trotter and Volobueva defeated Aditi Krishnan and Joanna Woo of Eastern Michigan, 8-2 for a third place finish in Flight B.

"It was a good day for ETSU tennis. The highlight was that Yevgeniya won her flight. It was a great tournament with a few currently ranked players and several that had been ranked. Everyone played really well and I'm pleased with the results," said head coach Steve Brooks.

The ETSU women's tennis team will be back in action on Oct. 12 as they travel to Colorado to compete in the United States Air Force Academy Invitation. For all ETSU women's tennis news visit www.ETSUBucs.com.
