ETSU women's tennis announces signing of Stewart

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (November 23, 2005)  -  ETSU women's tennis coach Steve Brooks recently announced that Brittany Stewart has signed a national letter of intent to join the Lady Bucs beginning with the 2006-07 season. 

Stewart was No. 1 in singles for David Lipscomb High School with a record of 14-2 in 2004 and was a member of the Class A-AA state championship team.  In 2003 Stewart was a part of the doubles state champions at David Lipscomb with a record of 23-2.  Stewart is ranked seventh in Tennessee state tennis rankings. She has been named to the first team All-Mid State in 2003, and 2004.  She currently attends Brentwood High School.

"I'm very excited to have Brittany come and play tennis at ETSU," Brooks said.  "She is very athletic and with her desire, and intelligence I can help her become a really good tennis player at ETSU."

The Lady Bucs begin the 2006 season on January 28th at the College of William & Mary.
