Vardali started ETSU’s first four games of the 2013 season before suffering a knee injury while competing with U19 Greece in the UEFA Qualifiers. Vardali’s scissor-kick goal in ETSU’s 5-1 victory over VMI on Aug. 30, 2013 generated more than 4,700 views to the game’s YouTube highlights, the most-viewed Buc Sports Network video of 2013.
Prior to ETSU: Vardali competed with the Greece Women's National Team, scoring her first-ever international goal against the Faroe Islands and serving as captain of the U19 team. In Greece's club ranks, Vardali helped PAOK FC to five championships, scoring 15 goals.
