DeLAND, Fla. (Oct. 13, 2013) – Achieving a feat that only a select few teams have accomplished, Stetson was able to hold ETSU’s high-scoring offense in check Sunday afternoon, handing the Buccaneers their second consecutive loss.

ETSU entered the weekend boasting the nation’s 26th-ranked scoring offense; however, the Buccaneers (6-7-1, 2-3-0) were held without a goal on nine shot attempts in a road setback to Stetson.

Stetson grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first half with a pair of goals from Eduarda Pavao in the 28th and 36th minutes, respectively.

The Hatters (6-6-2, 4-1-1) added an insurance goal in the second half to extend their win streak to two games.

Leading goal-scorer, Kristi Davis (Edmond, Okla.) recorded two shots on goal for ETSU, but both were collected by Stetson keeper Victoria Troccoli.

In her first start since Sept. 22, freshman goalkeeper Anna Yancey (Rosemark, Tenn.) collected six saves for the Buccaneers.

ETSU will look to make the most of a home-field advantage when it hosts North Florida Friday, Oct. 18 at 7:00 p.m.
