NASHVILLE, Tenn. – ETSU’s Ramey Kerns (Kings Mountain, N.C.) was named the Women’s Soccer Player of the Week by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association on Tuesday after scoring four goals with two assists in a pair of Lady Bucs victories last week.

The Kings Mountain, N.C., native netted ETSU’s 10th hat trick in program history on Friday, accounting for all three goals in the 3-2 win over Western Carolina. She netted a goal and two assists in the 4-2 comeback win over Winthrop. At the time of her goal against Winthrop, she had accounted for the last six ETSU goals. She has also scored in six consecutive outings.

For the year, Kerns has totaled nine goals, which leads the Atlantic Sun Conference. She is three goals away from breaking the ETSU mark for goals in a season, currently held by Erin Ashton (2002). Kerns is also just nine points behind the ETSU mark for points in a season, also held by Ashton (2005). The Bucs play at Longwood University on Friday in their only match of the week.
