ETSU women's soccer to close out home season with FGCU and Stetson

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 7, 2010) -
The ETSU women's soccer team is set to host Florida Gulf Coast and Stetson this weekend at Summers-Taylor Stadium as the Bucs look to move up in the Atlantic Sun standings in their final home weekend.
 
The Bucs face the Eagles Friday at 7 p.m., while Stetson comes to town on Sunday at 1 p.m. for Senior Day.
 
ETSU (6-5-1, 2-3-0 A-Sun) comes into the weekend having dropped three straight after losses to North Florida 2-0 and Jacksonville 3-0. The Bucs are led offensively by senior Terri Miller (Cape Coral, Fla.) and freshman Ramey Kerns (Kings Mountain, N.C.) as they are tied for the team lead with five goals.
 
The Bucs are 2-1-0 all-time against FGCU and 4-2-0 versus the Hatters. ETSU has gone 27-29-5 against teams from the A-Sun since joining the conference back in 2005.
 
Florida Gulf Coast (7-4-1, 4-0-1 A-Sun) leads the Atlantic Sun with 13 points as the Eagles have won four straight including wins over Mercer and Kennesaw State. Lindsay Haw leads the way for FGCU as she has a team-best three goals on the season.
 
Stetson (6-7-0, 3-2-0 A-Sun) also comes to Johnson City, Tenn. on a win streak as the Hatters have won three straight defeating Campbell 4-1, Kennesaw State 4-1 and Mercer 5-1. Tessa Gavilsky is currently first in the A-Sun in points with 19 after tallying six goals and seven assists.
