Bucs look to stay atop the A-Sun against Lipscomb and Belmont

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 23, 2010) -
The ETSU women's soccer team is set to host Lipscomb and Belmont to close out a five-game home stand this weekend at Summers-Taylor Stadium. The Bucs face Lipscomb on Friday at 7 p.m., while the Belmont game is slated for 2 p.m. on Sunday.
 
The Bucs (5-2-1, 1-0-0 A-Sun) defeated Campbell in their conference opener getting a two goal performance from freshman Ramey Kerns (Kings Mountain, N.C.). Kerns leads the A-Sun with five goals and 11 points on the season, while keeper Megan Masch (Virginia Beach, Va.) has two shutouts.
 
ETSU is 5-1-0 all-time against Lipscomb and 5-5-0 versus Belmont, while the Buccaneers are 17-10-1 all-time at home in Atlantic Sun conference play.
 
The Bisons (4-6-0, 0-2-0 A-Sun) come into the contest having dropped three of their last four matches including conference games to Kennesaw State 2-1 and Mercer 4-0 at home. Tatjana Shirley leads Lipscomb with two goals and five points on the year.
 
Belmont (1-7-0, 0-2-0 A-Sun) is currently on a four-game losing streak after dropping a 2-0 contest to Kennesaw State and an overtime loss to Mercer 1-0. The Bruins are led by Lauren Paynter as she has two goals and four points.

The Bucs are celebrating Youth Soccer Month as all fan 12 and under will recieve free admission to both contests.
