BUIES CREEK, N.C.  (Oct. 8, 2009) -Despite a number of key saves by sophomore keeper Megan Masch (Virginia Beach, Va.) the ETSU women's soccer team could not overcome a late overtime goal by Campbell falling to the Camels 1-0 Thursday night in Buies Creek, N.C.

With the loss ETSU drops to 3-10-0 overall, with a 2-3 mark (6 points) in Atlantic Sun Conference action, while Campbell improves to 8-6, with a 3-2 (9 points) league record.

After neither team found the back of the net throughout regulation, Campbell sophomore forward Annabelle Gibney tapped home the game-winner in the 98th minute after freshmen forwards McKenzie Porter and Tove Nordlander initial two shots rebounded off of Masch.

Despite the late goal, Masch continued her great play between the pipes with nine saves on the night. Offensively, junior forward Terri Miller (Cape Coral, Fla.) and sophomore midfielder Genna Petersen (Loveland, Ohio), led the Buc attack with two shots each.

"Megan made some key stops that kept our team in the match tonight," said head coach Heather Henson. "I've seen her make some great diving saves throughout the season, but tonight she denied shot after shot that gave our team a chance to win. Unfortunately, we didn't convert the opportunities that we had on offense."

ETSU returns to action as they welcome conference rival USC Upstate for a 4:00 p.m., contest October 12 at Summers-Taylor Stadium.
