Women's soccer opens the 2008 season at UNC Asheville

(August 23, 2008) -The ETSU women's soccer team kicks off its 2008 season with a 2 p.m., Sunday contest, at UNC Asheville.

 

The Bucs open the season after splitting a pair on exhibition contest against Francis Marion and Winthrop. ETSU returns 18 letterwinners off of a squad that finished the 2007 season, with an 11-6-3 overall record. Recently, the Bucs were tabbed to finish fourth in the Atlantic Sun coaches preseason poll.

 

UNC Asheville opens the season after defeating Maris Hill 3-1, in its only exhibition match last Saturday. The Bulldogs return 15 letterwinners off a squad that finished the 2007 season with a 4-14, overall record, after dealing with multiple injuries during the year.
