Bucs blank Bulldogs, 4-0

(Sept. 7, 2007) - The ETSU women's soccer team picked up their first win of the young season Friday night as they blanked the Bulldogs of The Citadel at the Gamecock Soccer Classic hosted by Jacksonville State. The Bucs improve to 1-1-1 overall while the Bulldogs fall to 0-3-0. The Bucs jumped out to an early lead as sophomore Jordan Monty ( Just under fifteen minutes later the favor was returned as Green netted her first goal as a Buc on a pass from the corner of the box from Monty. In the second half ETSU continued to dominate The Citadel as newcomer Morgan Jutras ( Monty netted the last goal of the match on a corner kick with 20 minutes left in the half. "Tonight the entire team worked together from the starters like Jordan to hose that came in off the bench like Morgan. The team did a good job of creating opportunities for the attack," said head coach Heather Henson. "It's always good to play a former rival from the Southern Conference and come out with a win.
