ETSU women's soccer set to host North Florida in Atlantic Sun Opener

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 27, 2007) - The ETSU women's soccer team opens its conference slate on Friday, September 28 as they take on the North Florida Ospreys at Summers-Taylor Stadium. The Bucs will look to extend their five-match unbeaten streak as they take the field at 4 p.m.

 

The Bucs (4-1-2) downed Radford, 3-1 on September 19 as newcomer Terri Miller (Cape Coral, Fla.) recorded her first collegiate hat trick with assists coming from Jordan Monty (Mesquite, Texas), Katie Green (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Kelly Brinkman (Clearwater, Fla.). Miller was also named the A-Sun Player of the Week following her play against Radford making it two straight weeks an ETSU player has been named Offensive Player of the Week.

 

This will be the third meeting between ETSU and North Florida, while the series is currently tied at 1-1-0. The Bucs evened the series last year defeating the Ospreys, 4-1. North Florida (1-6-1), who has lost its last five matches, picked up its lone win of the season on September 2, a 13-0 victory over Alabama State.
