SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Oct. 14, 2004) - The East Tennessee State University women's soccer team picked up its second SoCon win of the season against Wofford in a 1-0 decision at Snyder Field on Thursday night.

Both teams were held scoreless until the 47:30 mark. At that point, Erin Ferris (Columbus, Ohio) ran past the Wofford defense to collect the ball on the left side of the net. She then crossed it in front of the cage, past Terrier goalkeeper Austin Somers to teammate Rebecca Murray (Franklin, Tenn.) who headed it in to the open net for the game's only tally.

For the game, Sarah Prendergast (Palm Bay, Fla.) posted five in her third straight shutout, while Somers collected two saves.

ETSU improves to 5-4-3 overall and 2-1-3 in the Southern Conference with the win. The loss drops the Terriers' record to 7-5 overall and 2-4 in league play.

The Lady Bucs will next play at Elon also at 2 p.m. Sunday.
