JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (August 28, 2003) - This past Saturday, East Tennessee State University women's soccer team and the Johnson City Park and Recreation Department held a soccer clinic at the Liberty Bell Soccer Complex.

"It was a great opportunity to connect ETSU with the park and recreation program," said head coach Heather Henson.

Approximately 60 boys and girls ranging in age from 6 to 12 participated in the event. Participants were able to work with members of the ETSU soccer team to develop their technical skills and also were able to play in small setting games.

"The clinic allowed us to give back to the grass roots of soccer," commented Henson. "I think everyone involved enjoyed the event."
