Western Carolina Defeats ETSU Soccer 0-4

Cullowhee, N.C. -- The East Tennessee State soccer team (2-12-11, 1-7 SoCon) faced the second-place Western Carolina Catamounts (13-4, 7-2 SoCon) at Schrader Field Friday afternoon. The Bucs were shut out 0-4. Western Carolina went on the offensive early in the match with their first shot coming within a minute of the start. WCU sophomore Jordan Howell hit her first goal of the dayat the 8:10 mark with an assist from teammate Kelly Barker. Howell would score again 17 minutes into the match from ten feet away to score her second goal of the night. WCU sophomore Lauren Bramiett scores an unassisted goal 26:39 into the first half. Bramiett would score the final Catamount goal at 79:58 with an assist from Tami Piscott. The Bucs were led by junior Liz Smith, who recorded all three of the teams shots that afternoon. ETSU goalkeeper Heather Sanden was credited with 12 saves and faced 23 shots. ETSU travels to Chattanooga, Tenn. to face UT-Chattanooga at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28th.
