MACON, Ga. (Oct. 28, 2010) - Junior Megan Masch (Virginia Beach, Va.) picked up her second straight Atlantic Sun Second Team All-Conference honor, the conference office announced Thursday.
"I am very proud of Masch as she has continued to show throughout her career at ETSU that is one of the best goalkeepers in the conference," said head coach Heather Henson. "She has stepped up every game for us and made a key save to either keep us in the game or give us the win."
On the season, Masch is ranked third in the conference in shutouts (4) and fourth in goals against average (1.10). The Virginia Beach, Va. native anchors an ETSU defense that has allowed the second fewest goals in the conference as well as the fewest shots on goal and second fewest shots.
Masch was also named Atlantic Sun Second Team All-Conference in 2009 and A-Sun All-Freshmen in 2008 becoming only the third Buccaneer to be name All-Conference in three straight seasons.
ETSU (8-7-2, 4-5-1 A-Sun) returns to action this Saturday at 7 p.m. as the Bucs head to Kennesaw State to take on fourth seeded Kennesaw State in the Atlantic Sun Tournament Quarterfinals.
