Friday, October 12, 2001Johnson City, Tenn. -- The East Tennessee State women's soccer team (1-9-1, 0-5-0) returns home after a five-game road trip to host the Furman Paladins (7-4-1, 3-0-0) at the Liberty Bell Soccer Complex. The Buccaneers last played at home on Sept. 23 with a 0-5 loss to the College of Charleston. ETSU went 0-5 on this road trip, playing in North Carolina and Nashville, Tenn. Furman will play Appalachian State tonight at 7:00 pm in Boone, N.C. before heading to Johnson City to play the Bucs. ETSU players earned spots in the record books so far this season. Senior Lisa Gallagher leads the team in all four offensive career categories. Currently, Lisa Gallagher is number one in scoring the most goals in her career with 16. Teammate Kristin Redfern is not far behind with 14 goals in her ETSU career. Gallagher also has the most career assists (11), points (43) and shots (110). Redfern is also right behind Gallagher in other categories. She is third in assists (7), second in points (35), and second in shots taken (84). Junior Liz Smith is currently second on the all-time assist list with 8. The Bucs host Furman on Sunday, Oct. 14th at 2:00 p.m. at the Liberty Bell Soccer Complex. Tickets are $3 for adults, $1 for ETSU faculty/staff, $1 for kids (ages 2-18), $1 for senior citizens (age 55 and over), $1 each for groups of 20 or more and free for all ETSU students.
